St
Francis College is a Catholic school built on a proud tradition of Franciscan
spirituality.
The
name of the College stems from the charism of St Francis of Assisi.
Given that
the parish was named after a famous Franciscan martyr, St Maximilian Kolbe, and
that Franciscan nuns were amongst the earliest religious people in the Marsden
area, the naming of the College seemed self-evident in 1988 when the College
was established.
